Chapter 2 – Polynomials (बहुपद)
1. What is a Polynomial?
English: An algebraic expression made using variables and constants.
Hindi: चर और स्थिरांक से बना बीजीय व्यंजक बहुपद कहलाता है।
Example: 2x² + 3x + 1
2. Types of Polynomials
- Constant: 5
- Linear: 2x + 1
- Quadratic: x² − 4x + 3
- Cubic: x³ − 2x² + x − 1
3. Zeros of a Polynomial
If p(x) = 0 at x = a, then a is the zero of polynomial.
Example: p(x) = x − 4 → Zero = 4
4. Graph & Zeros
Number of zeros = Number of points where graph cuts x-axis
